Cocorico is comfortable, light and airy. Fran appears to have thought of everything that a family on holiday would need. She is very welcoming and helpful. The pool and swings are a great addition to the gite; we spent a good few lazy days around and about. The area is remote, quiet and beautiful. It is definitely worth a visit to Tranche sur Mer (beach) and Puy de Fou (theme parc). The zoo at Mervent isn't bad either for families.

Spent a lovely few days at Au Marcassin. Gite is very comfortable, warm & clean. Good, hot shower and everything you need is in the kitchen. Lovely natural pool to relax around. Laundry facilities first class and a very useful games room if the weather is not too good plus the bikes on site are an ideal opportunity for exploring the area. Fran was very welcoming and informative prior to our arrival (especially with the directions sent before arrival) We would not hesitate to re-visit these lovely cottages. Many thanks!

Only 6 days here at Au Marcassin not long enough!! Gite was comfortable and well equiped. The surrounding grounds were perfect for relaxing. The barns had everything our two boys enjoyed. Children had a wonderful time especially the freshwater pool and meeting the horses from the nearby farm. Fran is the perfect host you could wish for. We had a fantastic time. Freshwater swimming pool was a real godsend for us, as my son who suffers from all sorts of allergies, had no problems whatsoever and enjoyed everyminute of his time in the pool. I would recommend the freshwater pool to anyone who suffers from allergies. Laundry facilites were brilliant. More than anything Fran's hospitality was outstanding. Jeggy Mathias

Wow!Swimming in a freshwater pool, complete with lily pads and a tumbling waterfall under blue skies, against a backdrop of green and golden rolling hills ,seems like a dream now I'm back to reality in England! What a fabulous place to relax, recharge and bask in Fran's hospitality.Very comfortable and stylish gite and loads to do, all within a reasonable driving distance.

Brain-rottingly hot in Deux Sevres this year - high 30s much of the time - so the lovely pool was a godsend. The gite was well kitted out and comfortable, and the area has loads of stuff to go and see: historic medieval towns like Poitiers, Niort, and Parthenay; 17th century Rochefort; the bonkers Puy Du Fou (take water and a hat); and the calm of the Marais Poitevin and the lovely Japanese Garden at Maulevrier, to name but a very few that I actually had time to see. Rob from Brighton Fran is a great hostess who puts herself out to make you feel at home.

we had a great 2 weeks it wasjust a shame about the weather,great place for all ages young and old,our 3 girls loved it,great area and good shopping in Noirt..well recommend it to all best wishes to fran Steve,tracy,lauren, Bethany and Imogen (stalbridge dorset)

Charming and comfortable Gite with a well equipped kitchen. Well situated to use as a base. Landlady is very approachable and helpful. Would stay again.

Stayed in Au Cocorico last year. Great fun, loads to do and nice neighbours. The landlady couldn't be nicer.

The gites are really beautiful! We had plenty of room to relax, and everything we needed. Can't wait to come back and try the pool!
