La Chanduriere is a sleepy hamlet in the Vendee, situated an hour's drive inland from La Rochelle in beautiful rolling countryside.  There are two holiday gites - each comfortably sleeping a family of four - a large garden, a swimming pool , a games room and a play area.  It is a quiet and peaceful rural setting, the perfect place to enjoy a slow breakfast on the patio, a lazy afternoon by the pool, or a relaxed bottle of wine under the stars. 

However, those of a more energetic nature won't be bored.  In the surrounding area there are plenty of things to do, markets   to explore, and restaurants   to visit.  It is an ideal location for cycling, rambling, fishing and visiting historical sites .  

The Gîtes

The property is an old farmhouse which has been lovingly restored and converted into a house plus two self-catering gîtes: Au Marcassin   and Au Cocorico . 





Both have been recently converted and decorated and are fully equipped with comfortable furniture, two bedrooms, modern bathrooms and an outside seating area. 

There is also a barn   (housing a games room, laundry and toilet) a swimming pool , a boules pitch, and bikes for your use.
